Menu Planning

We recently ran across this site - orgjunkie.com - it's a site filled with organizing tips - and the owner of this site truly believes that organization is a process not a destination - in that once you think you've finally conquered all that there is to be organized life happens, kids grow, situations change and it's time to start the organization game all over again. We hear that!

This site offers helpful tips and humor (which we all need when tackling those oh so fun but dreaded organizational projects). While this site has some great tips and fun stuff, our favorite thing about the site is Menu Plan Monday - where each week over 200 gals around the net share what they have planned for the weeks menu. You can get some great ideas here - even if you never post your own menus and remain a lurker - you can still get some great recipes and it just might inspire you to sit down at the start of the week and plan out your meals. This is something that my sister does at the start of each week and it truly helps her get through the week - I've tried it a few times and it does make the week less stressful - especially when dinner time comes, the kids are cranky, and hubby is MIA! So check out Org Junkie and Menu Plan Monday (there are a couple of rules if you want to participate -- and by participate we mean if you want to post your menu --- however, you can always lurk (read) whenever you'd like- so check it out!)

Just Add Cake!

We are so impressed by our next feature - Just Add Cake - what a fun and great time saver! Just Add Cake is a party supply store that does exactly what the name implies - they provide everything for your party - all you need to add is the cake. Great concept! Plus they have reasonable prices and some really fun party themes. Just Add Cake doesn't sell the generic themes seen at other online retailers - you know the ones I'm talking about....the themes at Just Add Cake are really fun and definitely something Trendy Moms should look into before their next party (baby shower, birthday party, bridal shower - you name it). So check them out - we think you'll be glad you did!

We absolutely love to feature Etsy sellers - and this is one of our all time favorites! Fingers & Toes has some of the cutest stuff around.

They have the most adorable gift sets around - and at a reasonable price $48. This feature is a little out of the ordinary for us here at The Trendy Mommy, but we found this site and fell in love with the great information it has, so check it out, Hooked on Houses. Our favorite things about this site aside from the daily posts about cool houses, is the information contained in the right sidebar - under categories - you can find everything here from decorating tips, how to install crown molding, to green home tips, to famous houses. There is just a huge amount of information here and we love that!

Our trendy find of the day is an adorable little company called, Mama Made It. Silvia, owner and handcrafter grew up making little things to play with. All of her items are high quality, beautiful objects, carefully imagined and lovingly crafted just for your little one. She only has a few items in her shop currently - but we think that makes her and her items all the more special. She also has a little note on her shop that recent demand has wiped her store out ~ but she will be creating a new batch of fun handcrafted items soon. (You can check out her sold items to see the other products she makes and maybe send her a convo if you're dying to have one before she reposts it).
