Kickin' It At The Ranch...

The Hollywood Ranch that is!

Talk about fun! The girls at The Hollywood Ranch have created some really fun items to dress your little spunky cowpokes in. We've picked out some of our favorites but there are many other cute items available online...and if you live in or near Dallas you can visit them at one of their upcoming shows and see some of their other designs that aren't featured on their website!

The Weekend Edition - Dallas Trendy Moms - Round 'em Up!

What: Fort Worth Cattle Drive

Come out to see the world's only daily cattle drive clip-clop its way over the brick-paved streets of the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. The drive starts at the Livestock Exchange Building where the trail boss and his cowhands on horseback lead a couple dozen Texas longhorns almost single file down Exchange Avenue and back to their holding pens behind the Exchange Building.

When: Everyday 11:30am and 4:00pm (unless it's nasty weather or the cattle are acting up)

Where: Fort Worth Stockyards - 121 E Exchange Ave, Fort Worth

Cost: Free

Will You Be My Valentine?

In honor of tomorrow's special day...we have the following Valentine Cookie Pops recipe found on The Family Corner.

What you will need:
20 vanilla wafer cookies
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 6-ounce bag white chocolate chips
1 6-ounce bag semi sweet chocolate chips
colored candy sprinkles, red & white
pink and red gummy or sour patch bears
Cake decorating writer gel in green, pink, red, black, and white
1 tube each of white, red, and pink cake decorator frosting with flower tip
red food coloring
ice cream or lollipop sticks
wax paper or paper plates

Instructions: Spread peanut butter onto the flat side of the cookies. Place an ice cream stick into the peanut butter on half the cookies. Top with another cookie so the stick is sandwiched between the two cookies. See below.

Melt chocolate chips in the microwave, one minute, then in 20 second increments, stirring until smooth. Before melting, seperate the white chips into two bowls. After melting, add a few drops of red food coloring to one of the bowls of white chips to make pink chocolate.
Dip cookie pops in the melted chips, covering completely. Roll pops in red and white sprinkles and lay or stand on waxed paper or paper plates. Place in refrigerator to chill.

Decorate as you wish with the remaining items! ENJOY!

Planning Your Next Summer Vacation?

The book is even equipped with two indexes to make planning your next trip a snap - a geographical index (could be useful if you're vising Great Aunt Louise in Montana but want to make the trip up there fun for the kids) as well as a specialty index (good for types of trip - like amusement park or camping or museum or beach or mountain). The book retails for $19.99 on Frommers.com --- but you can get it for $12.77 at Wal-mart.

Tree House Complete With It's Own Tree!

We recently ran across this amazing tree house in a magazine and just had to share it with you all. Seriously, what kid wouldn't have a blast in this tree house that comes with it's own real tree?!?! The maker of these awesome tree houses has several other designs as well. We're not sure how much this treehouse costs - but here is the website if you want to take a peek.

"A little bit of this and a little bit of that" - sure to please all kids they have so many neat things for the kids to explore from 'little urban farm' to 'water room' to 'explore your town' to 'explore your backyard' and 'explore my house'. The 'explore your town' is truly just that a little town equiped with everything from a fire department, building supply and utility company, performing arts theater, conservatory center, fine arts museum, and of course a science place.

WOW! That's all we can say for Angelica Grace Designs, AGD! This haute couture boutique was launched in 2005 by Angie Seaman through God's grace! You can read her story here.

Super Trendy Super Tuesday

As this election year is proving to be quite the race...why not show your support in 2008 with one of these SUPER cute T's for the tot in your life. The Emily Allyn clothing line seeks to play off the adorable and humorous names we give to our kids – Peanut, Monkey, Sweet Pea, Crabby Cakes, Silly Goose, and many more. Their site is fun and interactive - pick your shirt type (onesie, short sleve, long sleve, etc.) then select your design and size...super easy and super cool.

Lunch Shopping Spree

We've been tracking this site for awhile now and although we can't look into the future and see what you will see when you click on the link to their site...we think it's cool enough to dish about here.

So, what is it that we're talking about...it's called Delight. It's a cool site that features a new item each day at noon for a great price. The catch is they only have a limited amount of this one particular item - so if you snooze - you lose.

They also have some neat stuff that they keep "in stock" all the time - so don't forget to check out those items as well....but what we really love is the daily deal at noon....very fun!

So how many times have you run into an old friend unexpectedly at the store or whatever...and when asked if you have any photos of your little darling with you - you think to yourself, "Man! why did I clear out the "clutter" in my purse yesterday?" and have to admit to your long lost friend that you're a "horrible mom" and don't have any on you...

We absolutely LOVE these designer overalls from HadleyMac. The designer, Whitney, is awesome! You can tell her the colors, trims you like, or even just the occassion for the overalls and she will work her magic and get you some awesome designer overalls for your little doll ~ all for only $40.
